15+ YEARS of COLLABORATION.
The African Conference of Commandants of Staff Colleges (Hereinafter referred to as ACoC) was founded following a meeting held from 6 - 8 November 2007 between Commandants of the following Staff Colleges: Defence Command and Staff College Botswana, Command and Staff College Egypt, Defence Staff College Kenya, National War College South Africa, Command and Staff College Tanzania, Defence Services Command and Staff College, Zambia, Staff College Zimbabwe, and Namibia Military School.

ACOC Secretariat
The African Conference of Commandants (ACoC) is an annual gathering of Commandants that meets to discuss pressing issues in the realm of military education. ACoC aims to enhance harmonization, interoperability, commonality, standardization and cooperation between African Command and Staff Colleges as a contribution to the African Standby Force (ASF) and Peace Support Operations (PSOs). The Troika is a decision-making layer within ACoC consisting the Chairperson, Incoming Chairperson, and the Outgoing Chairperson of the Conference. The Troika is mandated to implement the policies and decisions of the Annual Conference and oversee the operations and management of the ACoC. The current members of the Troika are Rwanda (Chairperson), Tanzania (Incoming Chairperson), and Libya (Outgoing Chairperson).
